The Levenhuk Kelvin Nova BASE 50/600 Phototelescope is designed for those who want to take their first step into space. It transforms the complex art of astronomy and astrophotography into a simple activity that even children can understand. With no tedious setup required, you can quickly find the Moon in the sky, focus, and take photos and videos on your iPhone or Android.
The Moon looks truly impressive through the Levenhuk Kelvin Nova BASE 50/600. You’ll clearly see the lunar seas, which are huge dark plains of solidified lava such as the Sea of Crises or the Sea of Rains. You can make out large mountain ranges such as the Apennines and the largest craters such as Copernicus, Plato, or the Tycho crater with its famous bright rays of ejected rock. The best view of the surface details comes with the included Moon filter.
Even the most carefully composed shots can sometimes come out blurry due to accidental vibrations or hand movements. To avoid this, we recommend using a Bluetooth remote shutter for your smartphone to control the shooting remotely without touching the telescope.
A key feature of this model is the mount with a pan handle that allows you to control the telescope just like a regular camera on a tripod. You don’t need to know anything about telescopes to point the Nova BASE 50/600 at a target.
The Levenhuk Kelvin Nova BASE 50/600 is a “moon” telescope that serves as your first step into the world of amateur astronomy. The undeniable advantages include its ease of use, an “all-in-one” package, and convenient smartphone photography.
