All newly registered devices include a free 6-month trial of the Standard plan, helping you optimize performance and simplify day-to-day operations. UPS firmware distribution via SmartConnect ensures you have the correct firmware version for your model.
What features does the Standard plan provide?
The SmartConnect Standard plan provides remote monitoring and management for Smart-UPS devices. It enables remote firmware updates, configuration options, and device sharing across user accounts, while supporting proactive maintenance and renewal planning. The plan also improves visibility of your power infrastructure through location mapping and tagging, and provides email alerts, event logs, and summarized uptime reporting. In addition, it digitizes UPS inventory and battery replacement timelines, helping reduce on-site maintenance visits and enabling more accurate renewal forecasting.
How can I access SmartConnect?
Go to the SmartConnect web portal to register your device and start a free Standard plan trial. You can also register older compatible devices if a trial has not already been used. If you don’t have an APC UPS yet, you can try the interactive demo available from the SmartConnect dashboard without a user account.
Which products are eligible for a free 6-month Standard plan trial and subscription?
The SmartConnect Standard plan free trial is available for 1–3 kVA Smart-UPS models with a built-in Ethernet port (marked by a “C” in the part number), including the SMC, SMT, SMX, SCL, SMTL, and SRTL ranges.
