Extend your PS/2 keyboard, mouse, serial, audio and high-resolution DVI-D displays up to 125 meters away from your PC. The CATx DVI-D KVM Extenders PS/2 with serial and audio support are ideal for workstation extension and control room appliances. Workstations can be placed in secured environments and allow their users to work less noisy desks up to 125 meters apart. Thanks to the digital transmission of the video signal without any losses in the quality images are as sharp as if they were directly attached to the workstations. The new video compression algorithms also support 24-bit color depth for smooth color gradients up to resolutions of 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz. Interfaces The CATx DVI-D KVM extenders are available in Single Head or Dual Head versions with support for PS/2 keyboards and mice. Choose the dual video version when you have multi-video applications you will save both space and money. Dual Access The integrated loop-circuit enables you to attach a second console (Keyboard Mouse and Video) near to your PC for local administration. You could even connect the local console ports to a KVM switch and control several computers from both a local console and a remote console. RS232/V.24 and stereo Audio The extenders transmit audio and serial data along with the video signals. With audio support you may transmit acoustic alarms from your server or music in CD quality. As it is bi-directional audio support you may also attach a microphone to send audio back to your workstation. The transparent RS232/V.24 transmission (6 wires) with up to 19.2Kbps allows you to connect touch screens graphic tablets as well as other serial equipment to your system. 19" Rack Mounting These extenders are also ideal for 19" rack mounting. The optional rack-mount kit takes up to four transmitters in only 1U. Instead of powering each unit with the included power supply you may also equip the kit with up to three units plus one power supply ACS2009A-PS (powers up to four units).
