The InLine® HDMI KVM Extender over IP Set enables reliable transmission of HDMI video and audio signals as well as KVM control over an IP-based network. The system consists of a transmitter and receiver unit that are specifically designed to work together and can only be operated in combination with each other.
The IP-based transmission allows a flexible system architecture. Operation is possible either as a direct point-to-point connection or via a suitable network switch. This allows existing network infrastructures to be used efficiently and workstations to be physically separated from the host system.
The integrated KVM function allows remote systems to be fully controlled using a USB keyboard and USB mouse. Transparent USB 2.0 transmission also supports USB HID digitizers, touchscreens and multi-touch displays. In addition, the system supports bidirectional transmission of infrared control signals, allowing connected HDMI signal sources to be controlled remotely.
When operated over a network, the transmitter included in the set can supply multiple compatible receivers simultaneously. All connected receivers output identical video, USB and IR signals. Manual assignment or configuration of the receivers is not required.
